CLUBHOUSE WORK DAY June 13, 2009
We had a great Work Day today!
Thank you everyone who came and worked. And thank you Chef Dan for your grilling expertise!
Water leak
Thought replacing men's toilet valve would solve the leak, but still leaking somewhere. Found faucet on other side of building that may be leaking. Will have to dig around it and check ASAP.
Repair and paint front doors
Arden replaced the hinges. Paint doors ASAP.
Fix hole in back room ceiling
Did not get to it today.
Fix hole where squirrels getting in
Did not get to it today.
Shelves in back room
Once the back room is cleared we can put the shelves in place for storage.
Exterior wood repairs
The roof trim has sections missing and some wood needs replacing.
Wash and paint exterior
Denny and Angel washed the exterior, looks much better/whiter just cleaning it! Once dry we can plan a Painting Day. BYOB: Bring Your Own Brush. Need to determine how much paint needed.
Repair window AC
Stoney worked on it, still needs more done.
Install donated HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning system)
Stoney to do this soon. Hopefully we can get ducts, vents, etc. donated.
Add light switch at back door
Stoney will wire existing switch to turn on 2 lights. This will provide enough light at night to make it to office light switches.
Old wiring and outlets
Need to replace if needed. Some have been replaced.
Bay Minette Civic Club sign needs a makeover
Clean and paint bricks for now. Eventually replace with redone sign that Lawrence free-cycled from Commercial Van Specialists.
Get rid of bicycles
Our RECYCLE YOUR BICYCLE project has been discontinued. Lawrence's friend not doing bikes this year. Glenn Brown checking with Fairhope High School, they have program that students create 4 wheel downhill racers from bicycle parts. We will take bikes to them if they want them. I am taking 4 adult bikes to Waterfront Mission in Mobile.
General inside cleaning
Did a lot of cleaning today. Spider webs and dead bugs still around windows and doors.
Install thresholds under front and back doors
Purchased 3 today. Install ASAP.
Window blinds
Decided to clean ones we have rather than replace them. Next Work Day.
Throw out junk
Got rid of some today, more needs to go.
Paint back deck or replace
Cut down trees behind building (ones that hang over roof)
Fill holes and paint interior crown molding
Install crown molding in back room
Insulate attic
Landscaping
